Wichita Business Journal's 2018 Manufacturing, Wholesale and Distribution Awards
MAMTC was proud to sponsor the Wichita Business Journal's 2018 Manufacturing, Wholesale and Distribution Awards. The event took place on October 4th.
MAMTC knows how hard Kansas manufacturers work. We have been in their factories and plants and on their shop floors, advising them on how to grow profits, decrease costs, attract, retain and train employees and invest in new equipment.
Kansas manufacturers should be celebrated. In 2016, Kansas manufacturing’s output was $23.79B. This was 15.5% of the Kansas total gross state product, as reported by the National Association of Manufacturers.
Some of the award recipients were:
Two companies were inducted into the Wichita Business Journals MWD Awards Hall of Fame: Johnson Controls Inc of Wichita and JR Custom Metal Products.
Two companies received Overall Excellence Awards: BG Products, who also won an Export Award and Great Plains Industries, who also won a Research & Development/Innovation award.
A total of 15 companies and individuals were recognized.
We would like to congratulate all the nominees and award winners. Great things continue to happen in Kansas manufacturing because of the innovative efforts of these, and all of the other Kansas manufacturers. We look forward to more celebrations of Kansas manufacturing success.
