Kauffman Foundation Awards Funding to Support Manufacturing Workforce Across Kansas
Kansas City, MO — Kansas Manufacturing Solutions (KMS) has been awarded funding from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to support workforce development efforts for manufacturers across Kansas and the Kansas City region.
This investment is focused on addressing one of the most significant challenges facing manufacturers today: workforce.
Across the region, manufacturers continue to face ongoing pressure in hiring, developing, and retaining talent. Workforce challenges are impacting production, operational performance, and long-term growth.
This funding will support expanded efforts to help companies build stronger teams, develop leadership at all levels, and improve long-term workforce stability.
“This work is about helping manufacturers grow through their people,” said Tiffany Stovall, CEO, Kansas Manufacturing Solutions. “Workforce is no longer a future issue. It is the constraint impacting performance today. This support allows us to expand solutions that are already working across the region.”
Manufacturing remains a critical driver of the Kansas economy, employing nearly 175,000 individuals statewide. Strengthening the workforce behind these companies is essential to sustaining growth across both Kansas and the Kansas City region.
Additional details on programs and opportunities supported through this effort will be announced soon.
